Shooting Gallery Overview

This project is to develop an alien themed arcade shooting game to deliver great amount of entertainment. The way this game will function is the user will sit down and play our game. The user will be playing using a controller attached to the frame of the game, which also has a LCD display to show time remaining and the score. The user will first swipe his/her user ID in our swiper to start the game. Then, using a couple of stepper motors the turret will move in either the x and y direction depending on the user inputs from the joystick to line up with the alien themed targets. To shoot the targets the user will press the pushbutton on the controller and this will cause the laser on the turret to shoot out. If the user hits the target, which has a receiver connected will cause a LED to light up and a buzz sound. The user will be shooting at targets, and depending on difficulty. A servo motor lifts and drops the static targets when its their turn to appear and an arm with 2 degrees of freedom moves randomly when the difficulty increases.
